Tell the truth: You’ve always fancied yourself a bit of a celebrity. You can almost feel all eyes on you at the parties, you constantly wear a smile in the event a tabloid photog shows up out of nowhere, and you’re ready with an answer just in case someone asks you “Who are you wearing?” You don’t, unfortunately, have a prepared response for “Who do you train with?” To you, exercise seems so pedestrian, so boring, even though you know all of the Hollywood types train constantly (for better or worse). Fortunately, Jeanette Jenkins is here to help motivate you. Literally, the author of The Hollywood Trainer Weight-Loss Plan: 21 Days to Make Healthy Living a Lifetime Habit is in town this week to share her West Coast-style tips on getting fit from the inside out through recipes, exercises, suggested workout playlists (Nelly makes an appearance!), affirmations and more. Today, Jenkins is at the Lady Foot Locker at the Saint Louis Galleria (Clayton Road and South Brentwood Boulevard, Richmond Heights; 314-862-9323) to sign books and host a shoe clinic from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free; visit www.thehollywoodtrainer.com for more about the fitness expert to the stars (including Queen Latifah!).
