National Features

Clint Harding was an early programming pillar at KDHX (88.1 FM), but left the station in 2004 to move to Columbia, Missouri, where he resumed broadcasting his show "Blue Highways" at KOPN (89.5 FM). An apologetic mystic, hippie and lefty-leaning folky, DJ Harding loves a good groove as much as a socially conscious acoustic ballad — and he's never been shy about promoting worthy and just causes. As his family faces a health-care crisis, a group of St. Louis bands and songwriters — including Cumberland Gap, the Roscoe Beano Band, Tom Wood, Jan Marra, Chris Johnson, Tom Hall, the Lodge Brothers, the Duck Tape Duo and members of the Flying Mules — are returning the favor with a benefit for the Harding family. Whatever Christmahanakwanzaka has come to mean to you, you really can't spell it without giving.
