Project Improv-St. Louis goes long

Quick, someone shout out a place (Intercourse, Pennsylvania!). Now, a type of car (Chevy Nova!). Finally, a condiment (Frenchs Yellow Mustard!). Now, try and tie those all together in a hilarious, no-holds-barred improv sketch. Harder then it sounds, right? Well, thats the call that the seven brave men and women of Project Improv*St. Louis will answer in Super-Form Improv, a ninety-minute, two-act romp that tests the performers comedic mettle while busting the audiences collective gut. The unscripted play (a new show every night!) takes place at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (April 17 through 26) at the Tower Grove Abbey (2336 Tennessee Avenue). The Saturday shows will be followed by Awkward Situations, a half-hour performance in which Lydia Loca and Shane P. Mullen create a story inspired by an audience-provided (wait for it) awkward situation. Tickets are $7 to $12, and Awkward Situations is included with your Saturday admission. For more information, call 502-548-2430 or visit Myspace.com/ProjectImprovSTL.
Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: April 17. Continues through April 26, 2008
