Inhabiting a spot in the burgeoning Tower Grove South neighborhood, Stella Blues is a mix between a sports bar and a blues joint. Blues memorabilia sits on the wall next to St. Louis Rams posters and flat-screen TVs. A juke-joint it ain’t, but the restaurant serves simple, fatty comfort food like ballpark nachos and chicken strips, while the bar has a nice selection of finer ales and stouts. Stella Blues hosts live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, usually leaning toward acoustic and blues-based local acts.
Hours: 11-1:30 a.m. Mon.-Thu., 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Fri., 8 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Sat.
